Sp|n is a digital art collective, founded by Skander Cherif and Oussama Menchaoui in 2022, two sound engineers and sound designers. Their work explores and experiments with new technologies through the use of various mediums (sound, video, programming, etc..). Far from calling themselves “Artists”, Sp|n is above all, the fusion between two passionate entities.
Testimony is a purely experimental audiovisual performance, which explores the relationship between the visual and sound aesthetics of the space/environment where the action will take place, and digital and analog technologies. It tends to immerse the listener through a quadraphonic sound system, a sound engineering technique that allows the reproduction of music and sound effects with an accentuated impression of space through the use of four independent channels. The medina of Tunis was the main source of inspiration for the creation of this performance.
